The Fire Within

As humans we can come together
without agreeing about issues.
As humans we can find accord
without sharing cultural particulars.
As humans we can create a solution
apart from discussing our religions.
Humans can create more harmony by
seeking to see our true selves reflected in
each other.
Humans can come together by
recognizing the spark of life that drives us all,
the spark that we all have in common.
The divine gift of life
which is singular.
By starting to look beyond the surface of life
which is the illusion of separateness,
We can begin to recognize our connection.
Love is a higher vibration than fear.
We can beat the dark forces
if we endeavor to stoke the fire of love within.

The new state slogan is "Nebraska nice". I wonder where they got that idea? ;)

Practically everything we know and have been taught is a lie. Yet it is all we know. No wonder then that so many cling desperately to illusions. Unable to face the reality that what is shunned will only grow in the wake of inaction.

Happy, nostalgic

Christmas Day was very nice, spent with my younger brother and interacting with the rest of the family online. It just felt cosy.

I often wonder when we will move beyond being entertained by our misery.

People hell-bent on acquiring power never have and never will "do the right thing".
