I can rant freely here since no one reads this. I'm just so flabbergasted and disappointed that even now people are still supporting trump. It's unbelievable because I listen for sound reasoning behind continued support for 45 and I never hear any. None. He acts like a spoiled child and shows no empathy, wisdom or compassion for anyone. It's like there is some kind of virus of the mind going about that people blindly stay lock step behind this idiot.

Just musing

I just feel the urge to wrote some thoughts and feelings down. I would on FB but people decide what you mean and jump in to tirades, usually about something completely unrelated to the purpose of my post. Anyway, I just can't help notice how this tense scenario of black people vs the police is being orchestrated. It truly appears to be a premise for the further establishment of a police state and martial law. It appears to me that the United States is at war with its own people and blacks are as usual, the first in line to feel the boot. What is even more discouraging is the tendency for some people to want to explain away my concerns, as though what I'm perceiving is faulty. I shake my head as I am at a loss for words.

Thoughts on March 26, 2015

Fascism reigns in America today. Propaganda is so effective the great majority appear to not even be aware. The illusion of the dream of prosperity hypnotizes many. Daily events across the nation and the world even, illustrate the low level society has sunk to. The police being used as the guard dogs of the 1%, killing citizens daily in increasing numbers. Citizens increasingly acting out of desperation to survive. To speak about this is not to dwell in the darkness but to ask again why we foolishly turn away as though that will make it go away. I am not sure what to do in a civil manner except to share my thoughts. It is apparent to me that the current course of non-action we are on exacerbates destabilization. I heard it stated that people don't stand up today because they are afraid they're 'goodies' will be taken away and their families will suffer. It appears to me that this is part of the equation and it is working well. I propose that if more were willing to look at the longer view they might see that this current stance only leads to further deterioration, things will not 'magically' turn around. I really think it's time to stop avoiding the subject of the rot of America and the way our present lives are being affected by it.

if we endeavor to stoke the fire of love within.

Practically everything we know and have been taught is a lie. Yet it is all we know. No wonder then that so many cling desperately to illusions. Unable to face the reality that what is shunned will only grow in the wake of inaction.

Christmas Day was very nice, spent with my younger brother and interacting with the rest of the family online. It just felt cosy.

I have a view that's in my head. You have a view from yours. Your ideas are in your head and not mine, and obviously the reverse is true. Just because you can't seem to understand that your mindset does not necessarily translate into a correct and universal interpretation of reality, is not to be made my burden. In other words, I have little patience for people who still insist on pushing their ways of thinking upon others, assuming they know best. It appears to me the clearest way for me is to be rather than to just say. To look inwardly rather than point the finger as though the one pointing can live up to the judgement they imply through pointing at others. Makes sense to me.

Review of Pop Rock Overflow by Jonathan Friedman

This is Jon's newest production and the first thing I am struck with is the sound of hard work. Jon makes music I would call classic FM radio pop. I hear snatches of everything from Hall and Oates to Todd Rundgren to Prince. I contribute guitar to one track and that does figure into me reviewing this. Jon is a friend and I know how much this music means to him. Jon shows he has a good ear for arranging and harmomies. Every song is full of ideas and layers of parts, constructed like classic radio hits. Jon has a good voice and his songs are cut from the cloth of daily life, relationships. I want to do my part to call attention to this album. I can see much larger numbers of people going for this album than the ones I make, the trick is getting people to listen to it.
